Still Having Fun...

What can I say, my game has hit some type of a slump but I am still having fun and that is all it's about! Here are some hands that I saw and a couple that I played:

I get pocket 7's... and I looked at the big blind so I bet the same amount as all the money of the big blind and I get two callers including the big blind!

Flop - A, 5, 10 Check all the way around

Turn - 9 Check all the way again

River - 2

I show my 7's and the big blind shows an A J. Nice hand! The other caller mucked after I showed my pocket 7's!

I get AJ on the small blind. Everyone calls a bet X2 of the big. We are playing 50-100 blinds...

Flop - A 9 3 - I bet and get raised by the pre-flop raiser... I call.

Turn - K - I bet and get called

River - 3 - I bet and get called

He shows me AQ! Oh well. Didn't place that hand at all and it cost me! I should have though. Oh well...

Pocket 9's on the big blind... a late player raises, the button calls and the small blind calls... HMMM! I go all in.

Flop - K, J, 8

Turn - 4

River - 6

I bust out... Somebody hit a K.

Good Game!

My tournament play...

What can I say, I haven't been really getting lucky with the tournament scene and with the buy-in being the way that it is, I am totally feeling the pinch on my roll. It is just fortunate that my cash game kind of cusions the blow by a little. Instead of being down by a lot, I am only down by a managable downswing.

Last Satellite I played...

Pocket 2's... Short stack goes all in and I call... He shows A Q

Flop, turn, river... doesn't matter... I lost!

Pocket 3's - short stack goes all in... she shows pocket 6's...

flop, turn, river... I lost again!

Pocket 6's - I am short stack so I push... got called by KQ

Flop - k k 8

Turn - Q - just wanted to make sure that I can't win!

River - didn't see it, I got up and left before everything ended.

I swear I haven't seen so many pocket's in any game. I probably hit 1 out of 6 pockets in the span of 3 levels then I busted out. Oh well. One highlight though is I hit quad 9's.

That's about it.

Good game!

S-700+100 Game...

The seats went fast! What can I say, I was there waiting for about an hour when all of a sudden a rush of players came in and before I knew it the 30 slots have been filled.

I guess the bad beats have been all used up (at least for this weekend) and it was time for me to give one out! No worries, I still busted out in the 3 level with top pair.

I had about 1200 left out of a 5000 starting stack after a beating from a full house and a couple of hands I wanted to play but not hitting anything. I look at my cards and I saw A,9 so i push from under the gun and I got two callers.

I put my head down because I didn't want to see the flop and I could hear one of the players betting 1200 (X4 of the blinds) after the flop... he doesn't get a caller and I hear, "ok, lets see your cards", I show my A9 and he shows me his pocket 8's!

The flop was - 9,9,8 (he had his full house already)

Turn - rag

river - A. (My higher full house!)

Then he asks me, "how does it feel to hit the river?"... I say, "good!"

Good game!

Played my usual Sunday game.

Didn't get started till around 10pm and there were some new faces. I guess I had to shake off a couple more hands with bad rivers.

Standard pre-flop play...

4 players...

Flop - 6, 8, 2 - I bet 300

Turn - 10 - I raise 600

River - 8 = I had two pairs before the river - now the caller had trips!

Heres another one...

I have pocket K's... Raised big...

I get two callers...

Flop 8, 5, A - why does it have to be an A's! I bet and get re-raised... I think about it and call...

Turn - 6 - I check and I get someone betting into me...

River - didn't see it cause I folded... Oh well...

Sat around for another 3 hours and nothing, maybe a hand or two.

Good game.
