Got down to the wire

Played a couple games and ended up really close but I guess luck can only take you so far. Both the games I played in had me with a huge advantage having about 70% of the chips but for some reason I wasn't able to follow through and I ended up second.

The guys I was playing with played really well and kept on catching me when I pushed. Lesson learned!

This might be my last update for a while.

Looking at my game

After a series of hands that I just couldn't believe happened, I turn to my stats, play and look at exactly what I was doing wrong... you know what, I am making a lot of mistakes and since poker is a game of mistakes... needless to say - I am not doing too well.

So, what do I intend to do about it? Well, heck if I know! No worries - my luck will just cover for the lack of talent or skill! Ü

Here are some fun hands that I played -

Pocket 2's, agains 6's

Flop - A, 10, 2

Turn - 2

River - 5

Pocket Q's against QJ

Flop - K, 5, 10

Turn - 9

River - 3

Pocket A's against Q's

Flop - K, 5, 10

Turn - 7

River - didn't make it - he folded

Pocket 3's against - A,3

Flop - A 2 10

Turn - A

River - 6

Now the betting and the raising just kept going until I busted out!

Sunday Game

Played a nice sng and cash game after Sunday and I of course had to re-buy but it was still fun!

Here's what happened in the tournament:

I am seat # 6 and we have 10 players. No big hands the first couple levels into it but after...

I get J's and I had to fold it after what I think is a full house, he didn't show so I am left guessing.

Then with my 700 left, I get K's... two limpers and the button goes all in. I call, he was just making a move... J, 7.

Flop - 8, 6, 4

Turn - 5

River - 9

So the King's get cracked.

I get K's again! I raise about x6 of the big blind and I get two callers.

Flop - A, 2, 8 - someone bets minimum and I raise. One person calls.

Turn - A - check

River - 2 - check...

I show K's and the caller shows Q's... the person who folded had A, 5! Nice raise!

Ok, for the tournament here is my last hand.

I get raised by the big stack and I go all in with A,2.

She calls and shows me Q's

Flop - 5, 7, 9

Turn - A

River - Q

She eventually won the tournament by the river as well.

For the cash game...

I get J, 9 and I call the big blind. 5 callers.

Flop - Q, 10, 8 with two spades, I raise about 3/4 of the pot. I get 4 callers

Turn - spade I bet and one person pretty much pushes me all in. I know she had a flush but I call anyway cause I didn't know what she had. Sure enough she had a flush. I was drawing dead.

Here's another one, I have K, 10 - I raise and I get called by 3 people.

Flop - K, J, 7 - there are two checks then I bet and I get called by one person (same person who cracked my straight)

Turn - 6 - check and I bet. I get re-raised... Hmmm. I call

River - 2 - She bets putting me almost all in - i think about it thinking I am behind but I still call. She had a J. I won. She said she was just trying to see how I played. Man, I totally was thinking I was behind cause she was showing the nuts everytime she raises. Well, at least I called!

Good game.
