The bad beat continues!

After the tournament I checked out the local games and bam... I guess I haven't gotten enough bad beats...

Played about 4 tournaments and nothing...

I am the big blind with 8s6s and the small blind raises to x2 of the blinds. I call.

Flop - 710j rainbow

Turn - 9 and I push... I get a call with a k6

River - Q...

I am all in almost blinded out and the small blind shows pocket 2's, I have a5

Flop - Q,Q,A

Turn - 4

River - 2.

Good game.

ACF 1500+300 Tournament

Came in feeling good and itching to play some poker. Saw the usual ACF crowed along with some friends from other games. This is going to be a fun tournament.

I played solid poker, if I don't say so myself, for the whole part of the tournament but my performance choked around my 3rd bad beat. What can I say... that's poker!

Some awesome hands...

Raised to about 4 times of the blinds and I got a caller that goes all in. I needed to add a little to call so I do.

I show AsQs and he shows Ad5d

Flop - X, X, X

Turn - 5

river - X

The next hand...

I limp in with 10,j with about 4 callers.

Flop - 7, 8, 9 with two hearts - small blind bets 1000 and big blind calls... I raise to 3k seeing that the raiser had only about 1700 left... (he thinks about it for a long time before a call)

turn - 4 - not heart. The small blind goes all in and I call. I show my straight and he shows his two pair. 7's and 8's.

River - 8

After that I shake it off and we go to break leaving me with 1k out of my huge stack before. After the break, I played some more hands, managed to reach X8 of the blinds and then I got knocked out by pocket A's. Yup, I ran into it hard!

Good game.

3 really fast games!

Luck was on my side the first game I played because I won every pocket I had, even small pairs. What can I say, I had to keep pushing cause I was short stacked all the way.

Here are some hands I played... ok, so I was lucky some times but I got a ton of bad beats as well...

Last table I played in...

I was on the big blind... 300-600 - I had about 4000 left coming from about 4 all-ins in about 6 hands before.

Everybody folds - 4 players remaining in the tournament... I guess the small blind got tired of folding to my pushes and shows me an Ace and an 8... he thinks about it for 5 mins and he finally says call... he covered me by about 2k more...

I show my A's... yup... bullets... I won... lucky!

The next couple of hands just blew me away...

3 players remaining... i limp in with A,9 and the big blind goes all in - I call quickly cause I know I was ahead pre-flop...

Flop - 9, Q, 7 -

Turn - J, giving him a straight and me a nut flush draw...

River - A... two pair for me... straight for him.

After a couple of hands, I get pocket K's on the big blind...

The dealer folds and the small blind (chip lead) goes all in... I call...

He shows pocket 10's and I show K's.

He calls for a 10... flop...

10, 8, 5

Turn, he calls for another ten to make sure... turn...

10

River...

blank... I didn't even stay for the river.

Good game.

Fast Games!

Went around to a poker game and I expected to be waiting for some time because there were still about 6 players playing. The tournament around the 3-4 level and to my surprise I was seated within 15 minutes! Talk about a fast game. I played about 3 games and I monied in one and lost on the other two. Yup, monied on the first tournament. It was kind of wicked too cause I was big stack on two tournaments and when it counted... the "big" tournament. I choked and couldn't deliver. I need to work on that!

Anyhow, here are some hands that i played in the tournaments: (AK, AQ and AJ didn't work for me but 7, 3...)

I had AQo on the big blind and I get a raise from under the gun. I think about it for about 2 minutes and I push all in, about 4-6 times more than she had in the pot. She called and I show my hand... she shows her AJ suited. Pre-flop ... 67% to 27%...

Flop - 8,10,k - she calls for a Q... after the flop 71% to 12%

turn - Q - now I am behind... 6% to 86%

river - Q...

Heres another hand... same table...

I raise with pocket tens and I get one caller...

Flop - 9, 2, 2 rainbow - one player bets... I go all in. I get a quick call. He shows me his 9, Q spades...

Turn... spades

river... spades.... YIKES!

But I still remember one hand that made me the big stack...

I am under the gun and I saw 7d3d... i call.

Everyone calls!

Flop - 7,7,3 - dream flop!

I check... everyone checks.

Turn - king - small blind bets x6 of the big blind, big blind folds, I call and we get another 2 callers.

River - 8 - small blind bets another x6 and i raise all in... he thinks about it and then calls and shows me a 7,Q... I show my 7,3. Nice flop! After that, it was really though... got some really big bad beats.

Back to square one. Good game everyone.

Another Game...

Looking around for a game sunday and I finally found one. I guess there really aren't a lot of people looking for an afternoon game cause the game I joined didn't start until around 9pm.

Saw familiar faces and the usual at this one place and what can I say, this was going to be an interesting night as always.

Here are a couple of hands I played...

About 6 players in with everyone just limping in...

Flop - 6, 3, j rainbow I bet and get one person going all in, I call...

I show 6 3 and he shows 6, 8

turn - 9, now I have a flush draw and two pairs...

River - 8, not my flush so I lost!

Played Kh10s with 4 players calling...

Flop - 10h, Ah, 8 - round of betting enough to make other people fold.

turn - 2h - another round of betting times 15 of the big blind!

River - 4h - somebody goes all in...

You guessed it, my luck holds up. Runner, runner flush! Don't worry, I got two major bad beats after this hand. Oh well... I guess it's a way to balance everything out.

Another hand ... (this one I wasn't in the hand)

We have 3 players...

Betting was around 500 already...

Flop - 3, 2, 8 ... two diamonds

Turn - 5d ... betting was around 1000 now from the big blind (all in), call and there was a re-raise from late position.

River - k... the middle player bets 1000 and re-raise again... then there was a lot of talking from the two remaining players... "you have a flush?", "you should call and find out"...

We get a caller and now it is show time!

The main pot... shows a straight - 6 high... the re-raiser shows a low straight and the caller... flush! 7d4d, his reason for staying... straight flush draw! Sweet pot.

One more hand where I was an observer...

Pre-flop raise - 600 and then there was an all in. Two players.

The person that went all in shows pocket rockets... and the caller - J's

Needless to say - A's won.

Same players this time around...

Raise from under the gun - X6 of the big blind... then a raise from the person who got A's this time around... Then an all in from the under the gun player.

It was the other way around - A's for the under the gun player and Q's for the re-raiser.

A's won. I guess they are even.

Good game!
