Thailand/Bangkok

Awesome Place!

Everyone was very courteous and the food was awesome. I can now say that I had authentic thai food! Shopping was not bad either.

I found Bangkok more friendly than the philippines and people did not stare at Jane at all which was a pleasant surprise compared to the Philippines.

Did most of the tourist thing and ate tons of fruits.

If you all have the time, definitely visit.

pretty sweet dude, the best thing about bkk is that is affordable to spend a weekend there to go shopping, see the sights (if you're into tours) and go clubbing.

You gotta go and eat at the Loft (tell the taxi you wanna go to Chidlom Central) its on the top floor, its a food court but you can eat different types of cuisines there - italian, jap, chinese even indian.

Of course, Suan Lum (night market) this is where you go to buy cheap stuff - furniture & clothes... and Chat Tu Chak? im not sure about the spelling but its the weekend market, that's a must go, just remember to wear comfy clothes and shoes coz its very crowded and hot there.

As for clubbing, check out RCA (it's mostly college people though) so check out Q-bar and Bed bar at sukhumvit soy area, don't forget Mischa's bar... if its open already(?) There's a cover charge but it's all good, the crowd is mostly westerners, i remember bumping into Isaac G. when I was there a year ago. :p

Get wasted on heinekens and shots of patron, then ride the tuktuk back to your hotel hehe. Just make sure you don't pay more than 100bht for the tuktuk and cabs. those public drivers will rip you off.

Get a nice thai massage before you leave bkk and stay away from Pat Pong and the ladyboys >:(
