Bubble Play!

Ok, in the same tournament that I played yesterday... the 300+30 unlimited rebuy until level 4 with one optional addon... Aris was about 3 big blinds on to bust with everyone else probably at least 20 times and 2 players in around 12-15 blinds. Aris was still able to eck out a 4th place finish, Nick G. 5th. Aris and Nick was able to outlast 3 other guys that had more chips than them. At least 2x more. Now lets talk about bubble play.

Some of the professionals say that when in the bubble you should open up your game more and take the oppurtunity to steal more chips. I had an experience before where I was short stack and I had to wait in order to take the tournament down. This same thing is what Aris and Nick G did. They had low stacks left and they kept waiting until they felt "good" with the cards they wanted to play and they got deeper in the money. In the same tournament I got down to about 2 big blinds and I waited and then pushed!

Now, what do you all want to do on the bubble. Do you open up your game or do you tighten up?

I guess either way is right just as long as you win or cash out deeper! lol

Good game!

Bully the medium stacks, most of them will be waiting for the short stacks to bust out and won't put up resistance unless they have a big hand...

Sometimes playing super shortstack strategy is fun... you're left with two moves everytime... All-in or fold. hehehe...

I usually push with connectors and Ace-rags when the SB and BB are medium stack or tight players.

But with 2BB left, Your pot odds are almost right for you to go all-in with any two cards. Lalo na kung UTG ka at BB ka na next. At least that's what I think... tama ba? hehehe...
